WELCOME
As the family of Christ we are to love all of God's children as if they are our own. These children who have come to us, many of them battered by our words, told on the one hand that God loves them and that He has a plan for them, then told by the same people that He hates them and is condemning them to hell, because of how they feel about another person. These Children who spend night after night crying out to God, asking why were they created to never know what it will be like to be loved by another person, as many have always felt this way. Ask God why are they not going to experience having a family or the opportunity to fulfill the purpose He has on their on life, or to use the gifts He has given them to worship Him. Is this how Jesus told us to Love His children?
As Christians, especially youth ministers we are to first LOVE. We are not to love conditionally but unconditionally. Our young people are crying out to have a relationship with Jesus, our jog is to be a reflection of Jesus on earth. How would Jesus treat our LGBTQIA+ youth?
Below are some statistics of our LGBTQIA+ youth. The majority of these statistics are caused because the body of Christ chose to rejection, ostracize, judge and condemn of these children. As a church we have chosen this rather than as Jesus told us to in Matthew 7:12 “In everything you do, be careful to treat others in the same way you’d want them to treat you, for that is the essence of all the teachings of the Law and the Prophets." Please watch the videos, read the articles and explore the many ways that we can LOVE as JESUS LOVES, striving to go through the difficult and narrow gate He talks about in Matthew 7:14.

THE POLARIS PROJECT
What if you didn’t have somewhere to sleep tonight? Let’s say your family kicked you out because they don’t agree with your “lifestyle,” you have stayed at a friend’s house too many nights in a row, and you don’t have enough money for a room anywhere. It’s getting cold, you’re a little hungry – how are you going to survive the night? What about the next night? And the next?
For too many LGBTQ+ youth in the United States, these questions are real, right now, tonight, tomorrow night, and the next. Indeed, research shows that 40 percent of homeless youth in this country identify as LGBTQ+.
